The purpose of the Job’s Daughters is to band together young girls, ages 10 to 20. Job’s Daughters is intended to build character through moral and spiritual development including: a greater reverence for God, loyalty to our country, and respect for parents, guardians, and elders. Job's Daughters is not a religion. Its members are not required to practice a particular religion. Members are required to believe in a supreme being.
Throughout the year, Job's Daughters plan and share a lot of fun activities. Arts and crafts, photography, sewing, and creative writing are just a few of the activities we enjoy. Also, girls participate in sports including soccer, softball, volleyball, swimming and bowling, and we like to sing and dance, too! Many of our local groups have competitions with awards and recognition for outstanding achievement.
Our main goal is to help others. Throughout the year, we perform service projects to help our community, the less fortunate, and other charities. We actively support the Hearing Impaired Kids Endowment (HIKE) Fund.
The HIKE Fund, Inc. is a not for profit charity and registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt charity. The Fund is the continuing project of Job’s Daughters. Fully staffed by unpaid volunteers. 95% of all funds raised goes towards helping children.
The purpose of the Fund is to help children with hearing losses between the ages of newborn and twenty years. An estimate of 100 children are provided with hearing devices each year through HIKE.
